Job Title: Care Assistant

Location: Redbridge, Newham, Barking & Dagenham, Havering, Waltham Forest, Hackney (UK)

Company: R Elderly Care - UK Elderly Assistance Services

R Elderly Care is a leading provider of elderly assistance services in the UK. We offer high-quality, compassionate care to elderly individuals, enabling them to live independently and comfortably in their own homes. As a growing local business, we are seeking dedicated and professional Care Assistants to join our team. Our reputation is built on respect, trust, and delivering exceptional care to our clients. We operate 24/7 to ensure our clients' needs are met at all times.

Job Purpose:

As a Care Assistant, you will provide personal, practical, social, and emotional support to elderly individuals, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity. You will work directly in the homes of our clients, providing assistance with daily tasks, and offering companionship and support. The care you provide should be similar to that which a family member would offer, helping to improve the lives of those in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Personal Care: Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, continence management, and mobility support (including help with rising and retiring).
  2. Domestic Assistance: Support with shopping, meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, and other household tasks as needed.
  3. Medication Support: Prompt service users to take their medication as prescribed, according to their care plans.
  4. Respite Care: Provide temporary relief for family members or primary caregivers, ensuring service users continue to receive care in their absence.
  5. Social Support: Engage with clients by talking, listening, and encouraging participation in social activities, helping them maintain contact with family and friends.
  6. Community Access: Help service users access the community and engage in leisure or social activities, promoting a fulfilling lifestyle.

What We Are Looking For:

  1. Personal Qualities: Caring, trustworthy, compassionate, and reliable individuals who genuinely want to improve the lives of others.
  2. Flexibility: Ability to work across various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as the needs of our clients can change.
  3. Transport: A driving license and access to a vehicle are preferred but not mandatory.
  4. Experience: Prior care experience is desirable but not essential. We welcome individuals who have a genuine passion for care and are willing to learn.

What We Offer:

  1. Competitive Pay: Excellent hourly rates ranging from £27.00 to £35.50 per hour, with an additional 40p per mile for travel.
  2. Paid Holidays: 28 days of paid holiday each year.
  3. Training and Development: Full induction training, bespoke training packages, and the opportunity to study for NVQ Level 2 or 3, along with specialized training.
  4. Career Progression: Significant opportunity for career development and ongoing support from your supervisors.
  5. Employee Benefits: Access to hundreds of discounts via the Blue Light Card.
  6. Service Continuity: You will have the chance to build long-term, meaningful relationships with your service users.
  7. Supportive Environment: Comprehensive 24-hour support and regular team meetings, ensuring you are well-supported in your role.

Job Requirements:

  1. Minimum age of 24 years. Graduate / Nursing GNM or pharma related qualifications preferred.
  2. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  3. Willingness to travel to clients’ homes across Redbridge, Newham, Barking & Dagenham, Havering, Waltham Forest, and Hackney.
  4. A genuine interest in elderly care, with a compassionate and caring attitude.
  5. Driving license and vehicle access preferred (but not mandatory).

How to Apply:

If you are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others and want to work with a dedicated, professional team, we would love to hear from you.

We look forward to welcoming you to R Elderly Care!
