Let's Play is looking for an individual to lead and deliver sports activities at our Fun Week programme in the school holidays at Willink Leisure Centre, Reading. This will include delivering a variety of sports games to a high standard, catering for all children of mixed ability, aged between 5 and 12 years of age.


The daily programme will include activities delivered from our schedule which aim to have a positive impact on young children. The sessions will range from Multi-Sports, Performing Arts/Dance, Swimming, Bouncy Castle, Team Games, Esports, Lego Building, and Arts and Crafts.

Essential Requirements:

  1. Has a keen interest and passion in working with and facilitating fun games for primary-aged children.
  2. Has experience working at children’s holiday camps and/or a childcare setting.
  3. Demonstrates willingness to develop their skills and general practice.
  4. Punctual, Reliable & Committed.
  5. Has experience in delivering activities to primary-aged children.
  6. Strong communication & organisational skills.
  7. Able to interact well with staff, parents/carers, and children.

Preferred Requirements:

  1. Clean UK driver’s license.
  2. Experience and/or willingness to deliver other activities during our Fun Week provision, such as Arts and Crafts, Multi-Sports.
  3. Completed appropriate courses at Sixth Form, College, or University.

Duties & Responsibilities for this role:

  1. Manage and motivate your team, to ensure they are delivering the programme to a high standard.
  2. Liaise with parents/carers, the staffing team, and the Directors on a regular basis.
  3. Ensure sessions delivered are challenging, realistic & fun for primary-aged children.
  4. Create a positive learning environment for the children in our care.
  5. Deliver the coaching programme to a high standard consistently.
  6. Follow our coaching philosophy, ensuring everything we deliver is: Fun, Inclusive & Educational.
  7. To understand the individual needs of the staff and children in our care and challenge/engage them appropriately.
  8. Deal with any first aid/emergency situation.
  9. Approachable in liaising with parents/carers.
  10. To be committed to ensuring every session is delivered to the best of your ability.
  11. Be creative and passionate in your delivery.
