Job Title: HO Construction Manager - Marine

Location: Brentford Office

Overview:

Currently recruiting for a HO Construction Manager to join their project delivery team in London with marine experience. The role will support the existing team working on the Pre-FEED and FEED for a series of new shipyards that are planned as part of the National Maritime Infrastructure Project in Saudi Arabia. The project scope includes dredging and reclamation, dry docks, quay walls, revetments, breakwaters, piling, buildings and associated utilities and services. Experience in these areas as well as the associated temporary works is desired.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop Construction Strategy/Philosophy
2. Constructability Reviews
3. Construction Schedule development
4. Early Works Plan
5. CWA and CWP development
6. Construction Management Plan
7. Support Procurement Process and Contracting Strategy
8. Compliance with relevant Saudi Aramco Engineering Procedures

Essential:

1. Recognised discipline background.
2. Management experience in the Engineering Construction Industry.
3. Ability to communicate effectively with the Stakeholders involved in the Project both verbally & in writing. Methodical work ethic; ensuring consistency in output.
4. Capable of working independently.
5. Fully conversant with Project Management Systems with extensive knowledge of Project Hook Up/Construction/Commissioning practices and procedures.
6. Staff management experience (knowledge transfer).
7. Excellent communications skills.
8. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
9. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Demonstrable experience in similar role or senior position in Construction Management.
11. Extensive knowledge of the construction process, its implementation and management.
12. Ability to deliver training to personnel within the construction team – commitment to develop team members.
13. Delivery focused and committed to achievement of project/company goals.

1. A strong communication, networking, collaboration and well-developed team-working skills, especially in multi-discipline and multi-cultural teams.
2. A full knowledge of project specific execution strategies, and the ability to develop them to meet challenging project objectives and deliverables.
3. An ‘Incident Free’ mind-set, and be a role model for their project team (Direct/Indirect hires).
4. A proven HSSE leadership in managing and delivering large complex onshore projects.
5. A full understanding of how all elements of the project scope integrate and interface with each other and are managed to successfully deliver the right project outcome - from construction, and through to commissioning and handover to operations.
6. Demonstrate excellent teamwork skills, being able to work with the various sub-teams to resolve issues and reach decisions that are in the best interests of the integrated project team.
