HLTA / Higher Level Teaching Assistant Winchester

Academics are seeking an experienced and hard-working HLTA/Unqualified Teacher with a keen interest in developing their skills in teaching. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate looking to get into teaching and wants to build up their confidence in the classroom - delivering lessons and managing classroom behaviour.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality education to our wonderful children, playing an active role in providing them with a solid foundation for their academic journey.

This may be in various classes across key stage 1 and 2, covering/supporting lessons across the curriculum. You will be given all of the tools and support to deliver the lesson and keep pupils engaged. If you have a strength or interest in a particular subject/year group, we will always notify the school so they can place you in the desired department where possible.

HLTA - Primary - Winchester

You will ideally:

  1. Have a degree and/or relevant experience of working in a school setting.
  2. Have recent experience of teaching or supporting in a classroom in the UK.
  3. Be able to show good behaviour and classroom management skills.
  4. Have high expectations of all children for both behaviour and outcomes.
  5. Have the ability to work both as part of a team or independently with a flexible, proactive approach.
  6. Be motivated to undertake training and development to enhance your practice.
