Job description

Academics is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) in Bagshot.

We are looking for someone who:

  1. Enjoys working with children, seeing them succeed
  2. Has high expectations of all children
  3. Makes learning fun and engaging
  4. Demonstrates initiative and works flexibly as part of a team to the benefit of all children
  5. Is keen to continuously learn, take on feedback and improve
  6. Is an excellent, engaging communicator who will develop strong relationships with children, staff, parents and the wider community

Specification:

  1. GCSE grades C and above in Maths, Science, English
  2. Excellent spoken and written English
  3. Experience of teaching Maths and Literacy to whole classes
  4. The will and interest to want to work with SEN pupils
  5. MUST have prior TA / Teaching Assistant experience!

About The HLTA / Higher Level Teaching Assistant Role:

  1. Working 1:1, in small groups and with the whole class
  2. Opportunity to run small group intervention classes with pupils of both low and high ability
  3. Will be leading some classes in the absence of a teacher
  4. Working closely with the class teacher to develop schemes of work and a working environment that everyone can prosper in
