Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Location: Colchester
Salary: £90 - £130 per day (Depending on experience)

About the Role

What Will You Do?

  1. Implement systems of observation and record-keeping to effectively assess children’s progress and achievements.
  2. Support pupils with special educational needs through specific learning programmes, contributing to individual education plan (IEHCP) targets and reviews.
  3. Evaluate pupils’ progress using a range of assessment techniques.
  4. Meet the personal needs of pupils while encouraging their independence.

What Are We Looking For?

  1. HLTA / Level 3 early years education and childcare qualification or equivalent.
  2. Experience working with children with additional learning needs.
  3. Sound understanding of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage).
  4. Ability to observe, monitor, and provide constructive feedback on pupil progress.
  5. In-depth knowledge of statutory requirements for the provision of care for children aged three to five years.
  6. Commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people.
