History Teacher

Position: History Teacher (KS3 & KS4)
Location: Devon / Somerset border
Duration: Summer Term (Full-Time)

ANZUK Education is working with a fantastic secondary school on the Somerset/Devon border, that is currently looking for a skilled and passionate History Teacher to join their team for the summer term. This is a full-time role, teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, where you will be responsible for planning, delivering engaging lessons, as well as marking and assessment.

Key Responsibilities of a History Teacher:
  1. Teach History to KS3 & KS4 students
  2. Develop and deliver engaging lessons that inspire a love for History
  3. Plan lessons that align with the national curriculum
  4. Mark and assess students' work and provide constructive feedback
  5. Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a positive learning environment
  6. Work collaboratively with colleagues and support student progression
Key Requirements of a History Teacher:
  1. Strong subject knowledge in History
  2. Experience teaching History at KS3 & KS4 level
  3. Hold QTS or the equivalent
  4. Excellent classroom management skills
  5. Strong planning and organisational skills
  6. A passion for teaching and inspiring students
  7. Ability to adapt to a new school environment quickly
