Who We’re Looking For:

• A passionate educator with a keen knowledge of history.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire students of all backgrounds.
• Experience with curriculum development and fostering an engaging, student-centred classroom is desirable but not essential.
• A degree in Humanities, History, Literature, Philosophy, or a related field (or equivalent teaching experience).

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering Engaging Lessons: Planning and delivering history lessons that are creative, student-centred, and aligned with the curriculum.
• Student Development: Supporting students’ personal and academic development through individual feedback, assessments, and additional support where needed.
• Assessment and Evaluation: Monitoring student progress, setting targets, and using formative assessments to guide teaching and ensure all students meet their full potential.
• Collaboration: Working closely with the rest of the history department and wider staff team to deliver cross-curricular projects and ensure a holistic educational experience.
