• Thurs 8.30-8

Driver: Yes, a driver with own car is required.

Summary:

A wonderful opportunity for a dedicated Nanny Housekeeper to join a family in Ripley, Surrey. The position combines childcare and housekeeping duties, focusing on looking after a 10-year-old girl and maintaining a five-bedroom Grade 2 listed property. The ideal candidate should be energetic, patient, and experienced in both childcare and domestic responsibilities. This role offers a competitive salary of up to £55,000 per annum, based on experience.

The ideal candidate will prioritise the child's welfare, ensuring her emotional, educational, and physical well-being is always first. The second priority will be the care of the family pets, including puppy training and general pet maintenance. The third priority will be the household tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation. If preferred, they would consider a pure Nanny role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Childcare:

• Morning routines, school runs, and school pickups.
• Support with homework, dance practice, and bath time.
• Preparing meals (dinner, snacks) and overseeing playdates during holidays.
• Organising activities such as days out and engaging with the child's hobbies (dancing, music, nature).

Housekeeping:

• General cleaning and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the home.
• Household laundry and ironing.
• Preparing dinner 1-2 times a week.
• Running errands and coordinating with tradespeople for home maintenance.

Pet Care:

• Dog walking and puppy training, feeding the pets, and assisting with vet visits.
• Care for two cats and a new puppy (3 months old), with patience and understanding of puppy training.

Required Skills and Qualities:

• A sensible, calm, and patient individual with experience in childcare.
• Comfortable and knowledgeable about working with children and animals, particularly puppies.
• Ability to listen and engage with a child who has diverse interests and opinions.
• Strong organizational skills to manage both childcare and household tasks efficiently.
• Prioritise the child's welfare and interests, with an emphasis on educational and fun activities.
• Flexibility and reliability, especially with the school schedule and dog care.

Family Environment:

The family lives in a 5-bedroom Grade 2 listed building, just a few minutes from Ripley Village, located by the village green.

The family has two cats and a lively puppy (3 months old).

The mother works in a hospital Tuesday to Friday, and the father works from home two days a week.

The child, a 10-year-old girl, is passionate about dancing, nature, and music (plays the cello).

Additional Information:

The role is a combined Nanny and Housekeeper, with an approximate 80:20 split during holidays and a 40:60 split during term time.
