Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Estates Team Manager to lead the Property Services division. This role involves managing a diverse commercial and investment asset portfolio, ensuring income generation, and overseeing negotiations for rents and leases. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the annual Asset Valuation Programme and enhancing service delivery by addressing resident complaints and inquiries.   • Driving income generation from the portfolio and managing income from assets and debt.
  • Overseeing all surveying works and addressing backlogs in estates management.

Job description

Management of the Estates team, within Property Services ensuring agreed team plans and performance targets are delivered and that a culture of 'putting our residents first' is maintained.

The role holds responsibility for managing income from assets and debt, negotiating rents, leases and terms and for the Council's annual Asset Valuation Programme.

Responsibilities:
  1. Managing the Council's commercial/investment asset portfolio
  2. Driving income generation from the portfolio
  3. Managing income from assets and debt
  4. Managing and negotiating rent reviews and lease/licenses/terms of occupation
  5. Delivering the annual Asset Valuation Programme
  6. Overseeing all surveying works undertaken on behalf of the Estates team
  7. Overseeing the management of the Council's garage assets management
  8. Addressing any backlogs relating to estates management
  9. Ensuring appropriate response to complaints and member enquiries within agreed timescales
  10. Leading on required action and ensuring analysis of complaints and enquiries contributes to service planning
