Job description

Highway Maintenance – Highway Engineer

Countywide

£37,938 - £40,476 per annum (Scale K)

Two Permanent positions available

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two driven and self-motivated engineers to join our Structural Highway Maintenance Team at Warwickshire County Council.

The team oversees and delivers in partnership with our term maintenance contractor all planned highway works and capital highway programme.

Your role will be to design and project manage highway structural, surface maintenance, and capital improvement works/schemes, and manage the delivery within agreed timescales, budgets and quality standards. Identifying site technical problems and recommending solutions will also be part of your work.

You should have experience in implementing civil engineering highway works, including inspecting, recording and reporting on construction projects, and you are used to assessing temporary traffic management solutions.

  4. Knowledge of current design and construction standards and specifications.
  5. Strong health & safety awareness.
  6. Ability to travel across Warwickshire.
