We are inviting you to apply to this newly developed post in our Adult Speech and Language Therapy Service. We are a supportive and friendly team who work across the community of Bromley providing a service to patients in their own homes, care homes, our rehab beds and in outpatient clinics.
This post would suit a dynamic and reflective therapist who is committed to providing excellent clinical care and who is a positive team player. As a service, we are hugely supportive of innovation and change and you will be afforded the flexibility to be creative. Our recent developments include a new community led FEES service and the setting up of a dedicated PD service which incorporates FEES and EMST in partnership with PDUK. As we also run dysfluency and voice caseloads which we are looking to enhance and expand, we would welcome candidates who have experience in these areas or have a desire to develop skills in these specialisms and apply their leadership skills to market, grow and optimise these provisions. In short, this post is an excellent opportunity to build your CV.
Flexible working and part-time applications will be considered and as an organisation we pride ourselves in the level of flexibility afforded to our staff in line with our health and wellbeing value.
Postgraduate training and experience in dysphagia is a requirement of this post. You will have relevant experience in managing adults with acquired swallowing and communication difficulties. Experience of FEES and/or managing a voice caseload is desirable.
You will be expected to contribute to line management, audit and service development and will receive regular clinical supervision, support through team meetings, monthly clinical forums and access to further CPD opportunities. Evidence of appropriate qualification and HCPC membership is essential. Driving/car access is an essential requirement for this post. Salary is dependent on NHS experience and current banding/pay point.
