Post: Highly Specialist Dietitian (Band 7)

Salary: Between £45,492 - £52,058 per year (DOE)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (40h per week)

Location: Cygnet Hospital Elowen, Shipley, Derbyshire

Are you interested in a career in the field of Eating Disorders and / or Disordered Eating? We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Registered Dietitian to join our team of dietitians working within our specialist mental health service for women with eating disorder or personality disorder with disordered eating.

About Us: We have an excellent full-time opportunity for a Highly Specialist Registered Dietitian to join us at Cygnet Hospital Elowen, located in Derbyshire. This is our brand new specialist 24-bed mental health hospital for women due to open in May 2025.

What the role involves: The Dietetic work varies between 1:1 input or group work, managing a range of complex presentations including nutrition support, weight management and disordered eating. The post-holder will provide a full Dietetic assessment of an individual's needs, resulting in an individualised Dietetic plan, and work in close collaboration with the catering team and wider multi-disciplinary team to provide specialist advice on oral and alternative feeding regimes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A BSc or MSc in Dietetics and Registration with HCPC
  • Experience in managing eating disorders and / or disordered eating (essential) and working with individuals with a mental health diagnosis (desirable)
  • Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity
  • Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledgeable of all aspects of clinical governance
