Job description

We are working with a partner school in Rochdale seeking a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join their progressive team this September. The successful candidate will be required full-time, with a permanent position on offer when finishing placement. The school will support you within this role and provide additional training.

As a HLTA, you will support 1:1, in classes, and the department where required. You will receive support from staff members and the headteacher. You will take on additional tasks and greater responsibility which may include covering pre-planned classes and supporting teachers with lesson preparation.

Responsibilities:
  • Promote and support inclusion of pupils, including those with specific needs.
  • Prepare lessons with teachers, contributing to the planning cycle.
