Job description

Cardiff Steiner School, Wales, UK are looking for an experienced Waldorf High School English Teacher to join the collaborative team at our diverse and confident young school. We are able to be visa sponsors for applicants from outside the UK.

As part of the Upper School Coordinating team, it’s a unique opportunity to help develop not only our Upper School but also the lives of young people, free from the restrictions of government curriculum and qualifications.

The role would suit an Upper School Teacher able to teach Classes 8 to 12 with English and a specialism within the Humanities (e.g. History, Philosophy, History of Art, Drama), working with the New Zealand Certificate of Steiner Education (NZCSE). This includes Steiner Class Teachers with experience of teaching Classes 6 to 8 who are looking to move into an Upper School role.

You’ll have the support and guidance of our founder Upper School Coordinator, Ian Powell, who is moving to a part-year teaching role within the School after seven years of leading the Upper School. This can include training in design and delivery of the NZCSE.

We are a small school by design, with a collaborative and pioneering staff team, supportive families, and a strong community spirit. Our teachers are at the heart of our success, and we have developed a strong culture of collaboration where staff are valued, and your input, enthusiasm, and talents will be welcomed and appreciated.

If you’re thinking about applying but would like to find out more about us first, you are warmly invited to get in touch. We’d love to meet you online or face to face.
