Join Our Client as an Experienced HGV2 Driver in Hoddesdon

Streamline Recruitment is excited to partner with a leading client based in Hoddesdon to find 4 skilled HGV2 drivers. If you have a passion for driving and delivering excellence, especially within the chilled food sector, we want to hear from you!

About the Role

You will be required to attend an assessment (approx. 3 hours) this will be paid if passed, the assessment covers:

1. Tacho compliance test.
2. Manoeuvre at slow speed test.
3. On road driving assessment.

Interview Process: Online Interview then for successful candidates a Face-to-Face Interview at the client's site.

Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday.

Start times: Early mornings from 03:00 to 07:00 hours.

Potential to earn over £47,000 per annum, Basis 48 hours per week across 4 days.

Comprehensive training on routes, restaurant locations, and handling goods, with ongoing support to ensure your success.

Delivery Area: London and the Home Counties, with around 5 drops, depending on mileage.

Due to the nature of the role, you must be physically fit and be experienced in manual handling. The role is physically tough, the stock is on pallets, you will use an Electronic Pump Truck (EPT) to take the pallet to the threshold of the building, and then hand deliver the stock to the fridge, freezer or to where required by the client.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Delivering chilled and frozen goods using cages and pallets.
2. Transporting cages to restaurant fridges/freezers.
3. Organizing palletised goods into cages for efficient delivery.

What We're Looking For:

Drivers with minimum of 6 months HGV2 driving experience.

Preferred have experience with refrigerated vehicles and food deliveries.

Licensing:

1. Points: Maximum of 6 penalty points.
2. Endorsements: No major endorsements.

Skills & Knowledge:

1. Manual handling expertise.
2. Familiarity with the Working Time Directive and EU driving hours regulations.
3. Strong understanding of safe driving practices.

Personal Attributes:

2. Excellent customer service skills.
3. Ability to interact positively with clients and the general public.
