HGV Technician
Location: Coatbridge
Night shifts: Monday to Friday 7:00pm to 7:00am
Salary: £19.60ph - £43,316 basic - OTE £60,000
Extensive Overtime Available
Class 1 licence is desirable but not essential

A specialist within their sector who have been in operation for 25 years. My client is customer focused and ensures constant training is provided to their ever-growing team. They are seeking a skilled Mechanic with a strong background in HGV repair and maintenance. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all vehicles and trailers are operating safely.

About your new HGV Technician role
  1. Conduct thorough inspections of machinery and vehicles to identify potential issues.
  2. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including vehicle inspections, MOT test preparation, brake repairs, and service work.
  3. Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  4. Repair or replace defective parts and components as needed.
  5. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
  6. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  7. Collaborate with other team members to enhance overall operational efficiency.
The successful HGV Technician will require
  1. You will have an in-depth knowledge of HGV and trailers.
  2. Hold an HGV licence Class 1 (desirable but not essential).
  3. You will have industry recognised qualifications as an HGV Technician (NVQ or City & Guilds level 3).
  4. You must have detailed experience as an HGV Technician and be familiar with modern commercial vehicles.
