HGV Technician/HGV Trailer Technician
Location: Scunthorpe
Day shifts: Monday to Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm - 45 hours per week
Salary: £16-£19 per hour (DOE)
Weekly Pay
Overtime Available

We are working with an industry-leading specialist who has been operating for over 75 years. Due to growth and expansion, they are looking for a HGV Technician/HGV Trailer Technician to join their busy depot in Scunthorpe.

HGV Technician/HGV Trailer Technician Duties Will Include:

1. Carry out inspections, servicing and repair of trailers to company standard.
2. Maintain and repair Heavy Goods trailers of the company assets (primarily trailers) and its customers' own assets.
3. Ensure any use of company vehicles is done within the legal road traffic guidelines.
4. Complete all job cards and compliance paperwork to the highest standard ensuring nothing is missed.
5. Complete ongoing training where necessary.
6. Knowledge of Hydraulics.
7. Knowledge of Electrical Systems.
8. Welding may be required – if experienced/qualified to do so.

Requirements of a HGV Technician/HGV Trailer Technician

1. Must have a Level 3 qualification with Heavy Good Vehicles (ideally with experience working with trailers), or be time served as a Trailer Technician or HGV Technician.
2. Experience with Welding preferable but not essential.
3. Knowledge of computers required.
4. Ability to understand and complete written paperwork required.
