HGV Technician
£19.54 per hour (first 40 hours)
£29.31 per hour (for any hours over 40)
£39.08 per hour (hours worked before 7 am)
TOTAL AVERAGE EARNINGS

c£43,000.00 basic + £4,600.00 in over time

40-hour week + 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (8:00 am to 12:00 pm)
We are happy to look at time-served HGV mechanics (those with lots of experience but no formal qualifications).
Location: BARNSLEY NEAR JUNCTION 36 of the M1
Hours of work:
Week 1 Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Mon to Fri (with 30 mins unpaid lunch break)
Week 2 Shift: 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm Mon to Thurs and Fri 11:30 am - 8:00 pm (with 30 mins unpaid lunch break)
AND (working one in every three Saturday mornings 8:00 am - 12:00 pm at time and a half pay rate £29.31 per hour)
Additional overtime is sometimes available on top of the hours above and any hours worked before 7:00 am are at double time - £39.08 per hour.

Their Business has 6 rental depots, with fully equipped, modern maintenance workshops in the North and South of England. From these depots they operate in excess of 2000 vehicles (of which 1000 are above 3.5 tons).
The role of HGV Technician will involve being responsible for carrying out inspection and service routines and repairs and testing of vehicles in a professional and safe manner. The HGV Mechanic will be reporting to the Workshop Manager and will be able to investigate and diagnose faults, report findings and be able to carry out all repairs to the current manufacturers standards.
