Our client, a private independent fleet maintenance company, is seeking a Mobile/Onsite HGV Technician to join their team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for vehicle repairs, safety inspections, and MOT preparations. We require a responsible and independent HGV mechanic who can work on various vehicles, from commercial to small vans.
Role: Mobile/Workshop HGV Technician
Hours: Monday to Friday: 6pm - 2pm one week; 2pm - 10pm the second week; Saturdays - rate
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out safety inspections
Preventative maintenance checks
Services
Fault diagnostics
MOT preparations
Engine, gearbox, transmission, drive train, and clutch work
Associated paperwork, reporting, and administration
Requirements:
Must have a driving license
Driving License Class 1 and Class 2 would be an advantage
Reliable, trustworthy, literate, and able to work on your own initiative
Must be flexible
Previous experience is essential
City & Guilds qualified or NVQ qualified in vehicle maintenance
