HGV Technician

Role Description

HGV Technician required to work in a busy Trailer/HGV workshop; previous experience is essential.

Duties:

1. Carry out service and maintenance of trailers, HGVs, and LCVs.

Required Certification & Experience:

1. Must be conversant with current working methods, including MOT Preparation & Trailer and Vehicle diagnostics.
2. Experience with DAF vehicles would be beneficial, as would a sound knowledge of LCV Maintenance and Repair procedures.
3. Experience of on-site inspections and attending breakdowns is preferable.
4. HGV 1 licence is preferable but not essential.
5. City and Guilds / NVQ L3 in HGV Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or Time served Technician.

Hours: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 18:00 with alternate Saturday 07:00 - 12:00 paid at 1.5x overtime rate.

Salary: £39,250+
