Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Technician with Level 3 NVQ, City and Guilds 1,2,3 or equivalent qualification to join our client, a foremost provider of vehicle maintenance. This full-time role offers excellent benefits and a salary of £17+ per hour.

As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and servicing of HGVs, LGVs, and trailers.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Preparing vehicles and trailers for MOT inspections.
  2. Conducting diagnostics and troubleshooting for vehicles and trailers.
  3. Attending onsite inspections and managing breakdown repairs.
  4. Completing detailed job sheets and inspection reports, ensuring tasks are fully documented.

What we are looking for:

  1. Previously worked as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Trailer Technician, HGV Fitter or in a similar role.
  2. Level 3 NVQ / City and Guilds (or equivalent) in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance.
  3. Experience in onsite inspections and attending breakdowns would be preferred.
  4. Skilled in modern diagnostic tools and techniques.
  5. Valid UK driving licence.
  6. Ideally hold an HGV Class 1 licence or IRTEC.

Shifts:

  1. Monday - Friday: 08:00 - 18:00
  2. Alternate Saturdays: 07:00 - 12:00
