Were recruiting HGV Technician

We are currently looking to recruit for HGV Technicians to join our Transport Department at our Amesbury Depot within our Mller Milk & Ingredients Distribution business. The purpose of this role is to Repair and Maintain Our HGV Fleet to comply with legal & Company standards while having the ability to work under pressure, actively seek solutions to problems.

The candidate will work as part of a close team on site at our Amesbury Depot.

Contract: Full Time / Permanent (47.5 hour per week)
Salary: £19.29 per hour

Additional hours are paid at overtime rate and Saturdays are paid at 1.125 hourly rate & Sunday/Bank Holidays paid at 1.5 Basic Hourly Rate.

Shift Pattern: 5/7 Shifts a week (47.5 hours per week) (Day Shift)
Location: Amesbury SP4 7SZ
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

1. To Inspect and maintain Our HGV Fleet to comply with legal & Company standards.
2. Prepare vehicles for MOT Testing and transport to Test Centre.
3. To record vehicle defects and keep accurate records of work carried out on each vehicle.
4. Repair Minor Accident Damage.
5. Carry out Fault Diagnosis.

Requirements

HGV Licence C+E preferable but not essential.

Commercial Experience On HGVs Is Essential.

Qualifications required City & Guilds part 2 & 3 / BTEC / IMI in motor vehicle management or equivalent practical experience in the commercial vehicle industry.
