Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a fully qualified HGV Mechanic / PSV Mechanic with 3-4 years' experience to join a well-established family-owned business, specialising in reliable coach hire and local transport solutions. This full-time role offers excellent benefits and a salary range of £35,400 - £41,500 for a 40-hour work week.

As an HGV Mechanic / PSV Mechanic, you will perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on a variety of vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.

You will be responsible for:

1. Conducting thorough inspections and performing preventative maintenance tasks.
2. Repairing or replacing faulty components, parts, or systems as needed.
3. Keeping accurate and detailed records of work completed and parts used.
4. Testing vehicles and equipment post-repair to ensure proper functionality.
5. Collaborating effectively with team members to complete tasks promptly.

What we are looking for:

1. Previously worked as an PSV Mechanic, PSV Technician, Bus Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician or in a similar role.
2. At least 3-4 years' experience.
3. Understanding of automotive systems and components.
4. Skilled with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
5. Capable of interpreting and working from technical manuals and schematics.
6. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
7. Valid UK driving licence.
