HGV Driver – Car Transporter

Driver Hire Bournemouth and Salisbury are offering a flexible temporary opportunity for experienced HGV Class 1 Car Transporter Driver with our client in Poole.

As part of this role, you will be required to complete deliveries of vehicles in a HGV 1 Car Transporter. You must have at least 6 months experience of working in a car transporter role and be familiar with loading and unloading cars.

Days: Monday-Friday (flexible)

Location: Poole

Pay Rate: £15.97-17.09 (basic) – £18.21-19.61 (nights) – £20.17-20.73 (weekends). Quoted rate is for PAYE advance holiday pay.

As a HGV Driver you MUST have:

• a valid UK Class 1 HGV driving licence
• a valid CPC and digital tachograph card
• a minimum of 6 months of recent commercial car transporter experience
• your own transport to get to and from work
• no more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN codes)

As a HGV Driver you will be responsible for:

• Safely operating HGVs to transport cars to various locations
• Communicating effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and customers
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
• Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety

This position is commutable from Bournemouth, Salisbury, Christchurch and other areas close to Poole.
