HGV Class 2 Multi Drop Driver (Days)

Location - Shepton Mallet BA4

Salary - £15.00 per hour

Shift pattern/days worked - Monday - Friday.

We're looking for qualified and experienced HGV class 2 drivers for regular work on an ongoing Monday to Friday basis, completing day shifts.

The role involves delivering HGV Class 2 multi drop palletised goods, ensuring customers receive a high level of customer service, and being happy to do hand balling when needed.

Key tasks:

1. Delivering items to customers and collections
2. HGV 2 - Multi Drop
3. Days 07.30 start times
4. Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations
5. Load and unload palletised goods using appropriate equipment either an electric or manual pump truck
6. Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods
7. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
8. Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
9. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
10. Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries

Requirements:

1. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a minimum of 2 years experience
2. Proven experience as a truck driver with multi drop experience of palletised goods
3. Ability to operate and maintain various types of trucks and trailers
4. Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
5. Strong communication and customer service skills

You will need to complete a 2-hour induction and assessment before starting.
