HGV Class 2 Driver

We are looking for experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to join us for our clients' requirements - Part time work available.

Working Schedule:
* Monday - Friday work with the option to work weekends.

Compensation:
* Earn a minimum of £646 per week (inclusive of holiday pay) for full time Monday to Friday hours.

HGV Class 2 Driver Full Job Description

Driver Hire Manchester South are on the lookout for skilled HGV Class 2 drivers to join our client's delivery team! We are looking for somebody who has the passion to deliver excellent Customer Service, specialising in delivering products on behalf a leading retailer to private households.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver Exceptional Service: Provide a professional, high-quality driving experience that meets and exceeds customer expectations.
2. Ensure Prompt and Safe Delivery: Guarantee customers receive their orders in perfect condition, on time, every time.
3. Customer Engagement: Build rapport with customers by delivering a friendly, positive experience, managing any questions or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
4. Room-to-Room Delivery: Safely and efficiently deliver products to the customer's room of choice, handling each item with care.
5. Documentation Accuracy: Complete all necessary paperwork and electronic documentation accurately and efficiently.
6. Health & Safety Commitment: Take responsibility for your safety and the safety of others, conducting dynamic risk assessments and adhering to the Health & Safety at Work Act.
7. Regulatory Compliance: Follow all driving and working time regulations to ensure full compliance.
8. Continuous Development: Attend any relevant training to keep skills sharp and support continuous improvement efforts within the team.

Experience & Qualifications

1. Valid Licensing: Hold an in-date, valid Class 2 licence, CPC licence, and Digi Card.
2. Good Driving Record: Have no more than 6 points on your licence.
3. Professional Presentation: Maintain a smart appearance and bring excellent customer service skills.
4. Flexibility & Punctuality: Show flexibility in shifts and duties with reliable timekeeping.
5. Time-Critical Service: Provide efficient, on-time delivery service, meeting targets agreed upon by both the customer and Wincanton.
6. Experience Behind the Wheel: Previous retail or commercial driving experience is preferred, and multi-drop experience is an advantage.
7. Physical Capability: Due to the nature of the role, heavy lifting is required daily.
