Hgv Class 2 Driver

We are recruiting a number of HGV Class 2 drivers for a well-established company based in Bicester, delivering fresh produce to business customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Complete start-of-shift vehicle checks and report any defects or damage.
2. Review your delivery route and ensure you have all required keys, PODs, and delivery guides.
3. Verify all PODs for scheduled deliveries.
4. Ensure legal compliance before starting your shift.
5. Deliver goods to the correct storage areas (e.g. fridges/freezers) within customer premises.
6. Handle all goods with appropriate care.
7. Immediately report any delivery issues to the transport office.
8. Use provided delivery software to record deliveries and capture photos.
9. Complete end-of-day checks upon return to the depot.
10. Refuel and clean vehicle as required.
11. Return all equipment and documents (PODs, keys, devices).
12. Complete necessary dispatch paperwork and download your digital tachograph card.

Key Requirements:

1. Ensure vehicle is roadworthy and compliant with legal standards.
2. Maintain security and accuracy of deliveries.
3. Follow Safe Loading practices and adhere to Health & Safety regulations.
4. Communicate effectively with both external customers and internal teams.
5. Follow all delivery instructions with accuracy and professionalism.
