Key Responsibilities:

  • Nationwide Deliveries: Perform timely and efficient deliveries to diverse locations across the UK, ensuring that all goods are transported safely and arrive in perfect condition.
  • Flatbed and Curtain Work: Engage in a variety of tasks involving flatbed or curtain-sided vehicles, utilizing specialized services such as Moffett and Hiab offload when necessary.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the vehicle in excellent working condition, conducting routine checks and reporting any issues to the maintenance team promptly.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere strictly to all driver hours and regulations, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete paperwork associated with each delivery, including delivery notes and incident reports, while maintaining clear communication with the office and clients.
  • Inductions and Training: Participate in site inductions and training programs to stay updated with industry standards and improve personal skill sets.
  • Geographical Knowledge: Utilize excellent geographical understanding to plan efficient routes and optimize delivery schedules.
  • Communication: Maintain professional communication with clients and team members, providing updates on delivery progress or any unforeseen delays.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience & Licensing: Must hold a valid Category C+E driving licence, Driver CPC, and Digi Card, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in driving goods vehicles.
  • Moffett Licence: Essential for this role, along with hands-on experience in operating Moffett forklifts.
  • Professional: Possesses a high level of self-motivation and can work independently whilst always maintaining professionalism.
  • Flexible: Open to spending a few nights out tailored to personal preferences, ensuring flexibility and commitment to meeting delivery schedules.
