Job description

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client. We are looking for HGV Class 1 Car Transporter/Tramper Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team on a permanent basis.

Hours: Monday to Friday, or 4 on 4 off shift pattern, start times before 8am (up to 60 hours per week).

Pay Rates: £40,000 to £50,000 per annum (detailed pay and bonus structure which will be explained at the shortlisting stage – huge earning potential)

Location: Henstridge, BA8 0TN

Job Type: Full time, permanent.

The role:

Transport new and auction vehicles to designated locations.
Load and unload vehicles yourself, ensuring they are parked in the correct place.
Perform vehicle damage checks during pick-up and drop-off.
Use a smartphone/ePod device for job management and reporting.
Deliver vehicles with care and precision, maintaining a professional driving style.
Handle runs that vary in volume, from small to large loads and runs.
Sleep in the cab (tramping) as part of the role, ensuring flexibility for longer-distance runs.

Requirements:

Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
Minimum of 6 months proven driving experience.
No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
Ability to work independently and handle varied runs.
Be accustomed to nights out in the cab.
Successful completion of assessment and interview prior to job offer.
Full understanding of WTD legislation.
Willingness to meet high performance standards for bonuses.
