Herdsperson job on a family dairy farm - Devon

We are looking for a herdsperson to join our family dairy farm in Devon. We milk 200 Autumn block calving cows on a grass based system.

We milk through a 28:28 herringbone parlour with ADF, auto i.d and automatic scrapers.

Roles and Requirements:

1. Twice a day milking
2. Daily care of milking herd and parlour (ensuring a high standard of hygiene and welfare)
3. Young stock management
4. Foot trimming
5. Assisting with calving and AI
6. Record keeping
7. Some basic tractor work

A passion for cows and attention to detail is more important to us than experience. Training can be provided.
