Full time

Due to the continued expansion of the operation and fleet at Mount Cook Ski Planes and Helicopters, we have an opportunity for an experienced Helicopter Pilot to work in the most dynamic and spectacular alpine environment in New Zealand.

Based at Mount Cook aerodrome, we operate a fleet of AS350B2/B3/FX2 and BK117B2 helicopters conducting tourism flights with glacier and mountain landings, transporting hikers and climbers, aerial work including long-lining operations, filming and photography, and charter work. INFLITE is an approved FENZ and DOC provider.

INFLITE is proud to offer pathways within the company for helicopter pilots to upskill and diversify their experience through the 3 South Island bases as well as Heletranz Auckland.

You will be working with a professional close-knit team who are proudly focused on delivering high value products which exceed our customers’ expectations. The ideal candidates will strive to uphold our company values whilst operating in accordance with INFLITE'S Operations manual and actively engage in and promote our Safety Management System.

There are options of a fixed term contract for summer 2024/2025 or an ongoing full-time position.

Attributes required:

  • The ability to operate safely in a dynamic mountainous environment.
  • Maintain high standards of personal and aircraft presentation.
  • Be able to work as part of a close-knit professional team.
  • Be an effective communicator.
  • The ability to adapt to operational changes and work to a schedule.
  • New Zealand citizenship or the rights to work in NZ.
  • CAA NZ CPL H.
  • Class 1 Medical.
  • Approximately 2000 hours total time.
  • AS350 experience.
  • Mountain flying and snow/alpine landing experience.
  • BK117 rating.
  • EC130 rating.
  • Heli-ski experience.

Reporting to the Lead Pilot, you will need to be able to operate effectively in a fast-paced flying operation with a firm focus on safety and customer service. Pilots are required to be tasked to different South Island bases from time to time due to operational requirements.
