Job description

We are currently recruiting a Heidelberg Print Finishing Operator for one of our clients, based in the Bradford area. This is a temporary role with a view of going permanent after 12 weeks, or a straight permanent role with the client, for the right candidate.


Main duties:
  1. Operate a B1 Print Finishing Machine.
  2. Apply Emboss and Foil impressions to various types of cardboard/paper sheets.
  3. Set up to 6 different foil positions at any one time.
  4. Use die cutting formes to die cut full sheets.
  5. Make ready multiple dies in any one pass.
  6. Follow in-house quality checks, documenting any issues and archiving samples.
  7. Work with the production team to lay up sheets while considering customer demand, machine positioning, waste, and efficiencies.
  8. Monitor consumable stock levels.
  9. Use Melonex files to align dies in the exact required position.
  10. Follow production schedules.
  11. Use Low-Res imagery to countercheck all finished products.
  12. Set machine temperatures/weight to suit bespoke dies/board.

Salary, hours & benefits

Salary is between £24,410 - £28,154 per annum, depending on experience.
Overtime paid at time and one half.
36-hour working week: Monday to Friday rotating shifts weekly. Early shift is 06:30-14:00 Monday to Thursday/ 06:30-12:30 Fridays. Late shift is 14:00-21:45 Mon-Thurs/12:30-17:30 Fridays.

20 days holiday plus bank holidays, you will also accrue an additional day's holiday per full year of service up to 5 days.
