Job description

We are located in Northeastern B.C. in the town of Chetwynd. We are recruiting a Red Seal Heavy Duty/Commercial Transport Mechanic with management experience to conduct major/minor repairs and preventative maintenance of our fleet of heavy trucks. Our company profile consists of gravel pits and a limestone rock quarry. We are also a road maintenance contractor. We run trucks and pups, side dumps, water tankers, body job water trucks, sand trucks, steam trucks, full lines of crushing equipment (jaw, cone, trommel, screener, and scalping plant), heavy equipment (dozers, excavators, Cat graders) and service trucks. We run year-round on most equipment.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and maintain fleet for government inspections (CVIP).
  2. Check for driver-reported defects, inspect, and repair as needed.
  3. Schedule and perform regular maintenance such as oil changes, greasing, changing tires, and minor repairs.
  4. Create, track, and update work orders.
  5. Ability to communicate clearly and work in a team environment.
  6. Schedule and order parts from our various vendors.
  7. Multitask and work safely in a fast-paced environment.

We offer benefits and competitive wages. The wage scale will be dependent on experience. A class 1 license is beneficial but not necessary. Lodging can be arranged.
