Job description

We are looking for a Healthy Family Practitioner to join our friendly Lancashire 0-19 Health Visiting Team.

As a Healthy Family Practitioner, you’ll join a team focused on having a positive impact on children and families by supporting those in your local community through facilitating parenting groups and offering 1:1 guidance to really make our service users and staff feel the difference.

This is a part-time role - 30 hours per week.

Main Responsibilities:

As a Healthy Family Practitioner within HCRG Care Group, you’ll join a team focused on clinical excellence and positive outcomes for children and families. Your days will be rewarding and varied and include:

  • To undertake mandated health reviews as delegated, for example, Pre 1 year and 2-2.5 year Developmental checks. Identify children who may need further support and refer to specialist services as required.
  • To provide targeted support for children and families in line with your competencies, as delegated by Health Visitor, School Nurse, or Staff Nurse.
  • Working with parents and families to help children reach their potential.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone who can work as part of an effective team, who is able to work flexibly across Lancashire. You must be passionate about the wellbeing and development of children in the local area.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A good general education and evidence of personal and professional development.
  • NNEB qualification, or equivalent to BTEC (National Diploma in Nursery Nursing) or equivalent such as NVQ level 3 (Childcare and Education) or Foundation Degree in Early Years/Education.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
