HIOW Healthcare is looking for an enthusiastic, capable & caring individual to join our Community Nursing Team in Southampton as a Health Care Support Worker.
If successful, you will be working as part of the community nursing team based at Bitterne Health Centre. Community nursing provides care & treatment for adults with complex health & care needs. You will be lone working but part of a supportive team. Full Time 37.5 hours per week.
Candidates will ideally possess an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent; full training will be provided to enable you to fulfil your role, including training sessions, online, and working 1:1 with clinical staff. Health Care Support Workers are vital in helping us provide essential care & support to our patients to help them remain well & at home.
Community Nursing covers from 0830-2200, 7 days a week. Shift patterns include 0830-1630 & 1400-2200, with an expectation of working 1 in 4 weekends.
As a health care support worker, you will be part of a team who supports the delivery of nursing care to clients within their own home environment. Ensure that patients receive safe, individualised and effective standards of care by following care plans and treatment interventions as delegated by the registered nurse.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
