As a Healthcare Support Volunteer, you are an equal and valued member of the Healthcare team, supporting them in the day-to-day delivery of health and wellbeing interventions.
Our service users’ health and wellbeing is really important to us, so you will be playing a pivotal role in supporting the promotion of healthier lifestyles and harm reduction interventions, including providing naloxone within our services and community hubs.
You will be supporting clinics by working with clients to prepare them for a medical review; this will include taking blood pressure, screening for substances, and discussing expectations.
Following training, you will support the facilitation and delivery of Blood Borne Virus screening and vaccinations as part of the healthcare team. You will be working closely with staff and partner agencies to support service users in accessing treatment and clinical interventions.
