Job description

There are 2 exciting opportunities to join the firm's expanding healthcare regulatory team, undertaking investigations and other key tasks for a large healthcare regulator.

You will be working under the supervision of a partner or principal associate, whilst yourself supervising paralegals within the team.

These roles build upon their existing Tier 1 ranked professional discipline practice as part of a new team.

The healthcare sector is fast moving and the challenge of working for their clients provides very interesting work. The successful candidates will be highly motivated to develop their own and their teams’ practices. These roles are based in their Manchester office.

The role will include:
  1. Case management and progression under partner or principal associate level supervision
  2. Supervision and management of paralegals within the team
  3. Reviewing evidence
  4. Interviewing witnesses and drafting statements
  5. Drafting instructions to counsel and experts
  6. Corresponding with witnesses, experts, counsel and other stakeholders
  7. Supporting stakeholders including vulnerable witnesses
  8. Drafting court documents
  9. Drafting legal advice on evidence and case status

Ideally you will have previous experience along with a genuine and demonstrable interest in the above area of work. As the role is varied, they are looking for you to have a flexible approach to the work you do and be able to adapt to different tasks. They also require you to have:

  1. 2-6 years PQE
  2. Previous experience of working in the healthcare, regulatory or insurance fields
  3. A proactive approach and be able to work well as part of a team
  4. Experience of supervising or supporting junior colleagues
  5. The ability to work to KPIs, other deadlines and meet a chargeable hours target
