Job Summary

This HCA post involves working within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team in a Category B local prison providing primary care, with a difference, also providing in house Mental health and also bespoke substance misuse team. We will support you in learning physical health including phlebotomy, ECG's and many more.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be an excellent team player who works closely with patients, the wider health care team and the prison service to ensure comprehensive care is provided to residents.
The successful candidates will undertake various duties within the prison setting, including working on the in-patient unit, screening new patients, running clinics and working in partnership with other agencies to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
Secure environment experience is especially desirable, but not essential. You will benefit from an extensive supernumerary period, access to a full range of training and be encouraged to develop your skills within this role.
