We are looking for an experienced Health Care Assistant to support our clinical team. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key support with varied responsibilities. We seek an individual with an enthusiasm for learning; excellent communication and IT skills; effective time management and prioritisation skills and with the ability to work well individually and as part of a team.

About us

Northgate Health Centre is situated in the heart of Oxford in a state-of-the-art purpose-built building which opened in 2022, with a list size of 13,500 patients. We have a dedicated multidisciplinary team putting patient care at the heart of everything we do.

We are a supportive team of 6 GP Partners and 5 salaried GPs, 3 experienced paramedic specialists, a pharmacist and a physiotherapist, with an expanding nursing team along with a friendly patient advisor team and efficient administration team.

Job responsibilities

Healthcare Assistant (HCA)- based at Northgate Health Centre (central Oxford). There is no parking available, so you will need to travel in via public transport.

• Administering shingles, pneumococcal & flu vaccine
• Diabetes initial checks, bloods, feet, urine
• Experience working in primary care
• SMI physical health checks
• Suture removal
