What you’ll do:

1. Assisting service users with all personal care tasks which will include; washing, dressing, showering, bathing, oral hygiene, and housekeeping.
2. Preparing and/or heating meals, drinks and evening snacks where necessary.
3. Enabling service users to take their prescribed medication and completing the necessary documentation.
4. To appropriately record and report any changes in circumstances in the service user’s social or health condition to the line manager/nurse.
5. To respect the rights of service users, and to strive to establish and maintain their trust and confidence, and that of their families and friends.

What you bring:

1. A minimum of 1 years’ experience in the provision of care.
2. Certificate in Healthcare Support QQI Level 5 required for this role.
3. Ability to listen and communicate effectively.
4. A proactive attitude, willing to adapt to priorities.
5. A respectful approach, mindful of privacy and dignity.

This role will require applicants to undergo screening appropriate to the post, including Garda vetting.

28 hours per week
€14.00 per hour + Sodexo benefits
Certificate in Healthcare Support QQI Level 5 required for this role
