Outpatients Healthcare Assistant – Women's Health
Location: London / The Harley Street (27-29 Harley Street, W1G 9QP)
Full time: Monday – Saturday 37.5 hours per week
Shift times: Service is open between 8am – 8pm with various shift patterns (combination of shifts - flexibility required)
Permanent: Yes
Salary: Competitive dependent on experience

The Harley Street Clinic Campus is excited to be delivering exceptional care to our patients at our new Women’s Services Centre.

We are actively recruiting a Healthcare Assistant to join our Outpatients team/breast clinics at The Women's Health Centre, part of The Harley Street Clinic.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work under the guidance of a registered nurse and assist in the organisation of clinics, chaperoning, and assisting medical staff in outpatient procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. The smooth running of clinics, breast screening, and results clinics.
  2. Working with all members of the breast care team to assist in the chaperoning and efficient movement of patients around the breast centre.
  3. Ensuring clinics start on time.
  4. Completing clinics with notes and paperwork correctly filed and clinic rooms stocked and tidied.
  5. Caring for patients who have received bad news and those undergoing cancer treatment.
  6. Positioning and manoeuvring patients and equipment daily.
  7. Assisting clinicians with breast biopsies, dressing changes, examinations, ultrasounds, and mammograms.

What you’ll bring:

  1. Experience working within an outpatient department.
  2. Breast experience (highly desirable).
  3. Knowledge of relevant hospital policies and procedures.
  4. Phlebotomy training essential.
  5. Diplomatic, empathetic, and tactful with a passion for delivering customer service and providing an exceptional patient experience.
