We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Primary Care team at HMP Foston Hall, a Women's closed category prison and Young Offenders Institution located in Derby.
Hours
The site currently offers 3 days in the week which could include weekends and nights totaling 37.5 hours per week
0700am - 2030am
Salary
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £28,690 per annum - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.What you'll be doingAs a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
- Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care.
- Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.
Qualifications required- NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
- A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Good IT skills and IT literacy
- Ability to work within a busy environment
- Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
