Job overview

To work as part of an administrative team providing high quality, responsive and co-ordinated service support for the Healthcare Team and Prison Staff and to ensure a high quality, resource efficient and cost-effective service to service users and staff. To support our partner organisations by working in an integrated manner to ensure administration services are provided across Stoke Heath Integrated Care.

Main duties of the job

  • Be the first point of contact for internal staff and other external agencies for referrals, hospital appointments and general service enquiries.
  • Receive and communicate messages accurately to the healthcare team as appropriate.
  • Log complaints as required and support the team in effective complaint management.
  • Deal with patient referrals ensuring that they are processed and co-ordinated with service specific protocols.
  • Co-ordinate clinical and non-clinical appointment arrangements.
  • Utilise office systems including diaries and other information systems and undertake general office duties as necessary.
  • Take minutes as required in the department and then type the minutes to a good quality.

Person specification

Experience

  • Experience of working within an administration role.
  • Experience of diary co-ordination.
  • Experience of arranging meetings.

Training and Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Business Administration.
  • GCE/GCSE in Mathematics and English at Grade C or above or equivalent qualification.
