An established environmental consultancy is seeking a Health, Safety & Sustainability Coordinator to enhance their commitment to people and the planet. This role involves organizing training, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The company promotes a people-first culture, offering a 4-day work week and a supportive environment for professional growth. Join a team dedicated to making a positive impact through sustainable practices and innovative solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity for those passionate about health, safety, and environmental issues to contribute to meaningful projects.
Who are we?
We're a B-Corp environmental consultancy established in 2010 with a team of over 100 incredible humans, spread across seven UK offices.
What do we do?
By working inclusively and collaboratively, our expert teams in ecology, arboriculture, landscape planning and green+blue infrastructure support our amazing clients to deliver exceptional developments with positive outcomes for both people and wildlife. Whether that's a new road, solar farm or award-winning residential scheme such as this one.
How do we work?
Quite simply, we put our people first. We support our team to thrive, learn and grow as individuals. We work really hard but also flexibly; with some time spent in the offices and some at home. We're a certified 4 Day Week employer; paying a salary equivalent to a traditional 5-day week employer, but for working only 4 days a week! You may have heard about it. We won't lie, it's pretty life changing. We're a Real Living Wage employer, and are very open and honest about what we're all paid.
What are our values?
We're proudly B-Corp and firmly believe in using business as a force for good. In fact, we've been doing this since day one. We were named in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work Awards 2024 and have recently received awards for championing the mental wellbeing of our team. We are not perfect! We're a medium-sized business that has grown organically and we've seen plenty of change over the years. We've made mistakes and have learned from our experiences; we're stronger as a result. However, our core values have held firm, and by fostering a people-focused business model, we've allowed our team to flourish. We have experienced growth year on year since we were founded, and we have grand plans to grow further, supporting more clients in more places.
The role
Responsibilities
The Health, Safety & Sustainability Coordinator role will support our leads of Health Safety and Wellbeing and Quality, Data & B Corp to get the most out of these two core pillars of our business. The role includes, with support, responsibilities in the following areas:
And that's where you come in!
We are looking for someone who has a passion for people and the planet. Our people are our number one asset; the life and soul of our business. Their safety and wellbeing is our first priority, as it should be! At TG, we believe in positive outcomes for both people and the planet. This is a tricky balance to get right, but we believe that through creativity and collaboration, it can be achieved. We voluntarily hold ourselves to high wellbeing and environmental standards; our awards and certifications are a testament to this. But achieving these things does not happen quickly or without the dedication of some very talented individuals. As we continue to push for higher standards and demonstrate that business can be a force for good, we now require additional support to achieve our ambitions. We'd especially welcome applications from someone who has an eye for detail and who knows that maintaining accurate records is essential in keeping people safe and well, as well as reducing our environmental impact.
