Job description

Shorterm Group are looking for a Health & Safety Site Supervisor in Hertfordshire/London.

The role focuses on managing safety procedures, reducing risks, and ensuring the welfare of all personnel on-site. The work will be based in London and you will be working on various sites.
Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm but nights could be available. Overtime available at time and a half.
Must have a SSSTS/SMSTS. IOSH/NEBOSH beneficial. Must also be able to provide a 3 year work history and a DBS check.
£30-32 per hour CIS/Umbrella.

Duties:

  1. Assist Project Manager/Engineer with preparation of site files including Health and Safety files for site-based activity.
  2. Maintain site records including marked up drawings showing % of works completed each week, alterations, delays, progress reports, and record all changes contributing to end of contract record drawings and certifications.
  3. Supervise on-site labour ensuring they are working in the areas as required by our contract and their order.
  4. Ensure the implementation and enforcement of safety policies and procedures across the site. Conduct regular inspections of the worksite to identify potential hazards and risks.
  5. Ensure that all safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) are used correctly. Prepare and deliver safety inductions and tool-box talks to new employees and subcontractors.
  6. Monitor and assess hazardous and unsafe situations and develop measures to ensure site safety.
  7. Ensure where required, client is briefed and aware of on-site activities and provided project progress updates when required.
  8. Provide Project Manager/Engineer with regular updates including potential contract charges, snagging, programme slippage, labour resource or material issues, access issues, and potential on-site conflicts.
