Job description

Our client based near St. Ives is seeking a Health & Safety Officer to join them on a full-time permanent basis working Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30am - 5.00pm. This is a great opportunity to join an established local business who offer training and career progression.

Responsibilities

In this role as a Health & Safety Officer, you will be responsible day to day for a varied workload including:

  • Undertaking inspections on site
  • Conducting performance monitoring and compliance
  • Ensuring staff/employees adhere to H & S practices
  • Producing Health & Safety reports
  • Conducting risk assessments
  • Assisting with compilation of the company Health & Safety strategy
Skills Required

To be considered for the role of Health & Safety Officer, you will have:

  • Nebosh Level 3 or equivalent
  • Experience of creating and maintaining H & S policies, processes, and risk assessments
  • A background within warehousing/logistics/manufacturing or similar
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to converse at all levels
  • Own transport is required due to location
