As the Health & Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining a culture of health, safety, environment (HSE), and quality (HSEQ) throughout the organisation. You will oversee HSEQ activities across all operational areas, ensuring that safety standards are upheld and continuously improved.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the integration of HSEQ practices into the company's culture, ensuring all employees understand its importance and contribute to a safer, healthier workplace
Foster a proactive safety culture, ensuring that safety is a top priority for employees, contractors, clients, and stakeholders
Collaborate with various teams to support the company's corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and sustainability goals, ensuring positive contributions to society
Oversee and continuously improve the HSEQ management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and BES6001 standards
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), drive continuous improvement efforts, and ensure the effectiveness of the HSEQ systems
Promote and maintain a workplace culture that prioritises both physical and mental health of all employees
Advise on and implement measures to control HSEQ risks across all operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and minimising environmental impact
Conduct regular audits and site inspections to monitor and improve HSEQ standards, and recommend necessary changes to enhance safety practices
Maintain up-to-date HSEQ documentation, including policies, procedures, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with current standards and regulations
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally with managerial responsibilities or equivalent leadership experience
Understanding of HSEQ management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, BES6001)
Experience implementing and managing safety initiatives across multiple sites or locations
Ability to drive cultural change and foster a safety-first mindset within a diverse workforce
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
