Are you an experienced health & safety professional within the rail sector and seeking a new opportunity? I am currently working with a specialist rail infrastructure business that is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to join the team to work across London projects working alongside clients such as Network Rail, TFL, and LUL. Knowledge of rail legislation is a must to be considered for the position. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of rail legislation and experience working in a behavioural safety environment.

The Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for:

• Hosting regular health & safety meetings with suppliers and contractors
  • Producing reports and analyzing data to support solutions.
  • Sharing health & safety best practices across the business.
  • Providing competent support to suppliers and contractors across the business.
  • Being the go-to for health & safety support, advice, and guidance for site teams.
  • Leading accident investigations and near misses to identify root causes and implement improvement plans.
  • Conducting risk assessments and method statements for sites when required.
  • Promoting a positive and proactive health & safety culture across the business.

The Health & Safety Manager will have:

• 5 years of experience working in health & safety
  • Previously worked in the rail sector with strong rail legislation knowledge.
  • NEBOSH Diploma ideally; would consider candidates who are working towards it.
  • Willingness to work 1 week of nights per month.
  • Driving license, as some sites are remote and require a car to travel.
