Health & Safety Manager
Location: Friston, Suffolk.
Flexible working will be considered.
Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 negotiable dependant on experience plus: car/car allowance and package.
Summary
An opportunity has arisen with a major tier 1 infrastructure contractor for a Health & Safety Manager to work on the design and build of a new substation in Suffolk.
The contract with Scottish Power is to support their East Anglia windfarm in the Southern North Sea. The project forms a vital part of Britain's transition to renewable energy and Net Zero.
Reporting to the Project Director, the Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for developing a positive health & safety culture focused upon accident prevention and improving the health & safety across the project.
The project involves carrying out significant earth moving operations on the greenfield site, new roads and road junctions, reinforced concrete works and steel framed superstructures housing the next generation of equipment to deliver balanced renewable power into the National Grid. Design and environmental consent works are already underway, and construction will commence in spring next year with a planned handover and energisation to grid in December 2027.
